Dr. Jennifer Haase
Bio
Dr. Jennifer Haase is a researcher at the Weizenbaum Institute and the Humboldt University, Computer Science Department, where her work focuses on the intersection of Creativity, Artificial Intelligence, and Automation. She earned her Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Potsdam, with a thesis on Creative Intensive Processes, investigating how creative work can be modeled and enhanced in the context of technology driven team-work. She also holds an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Psychology from Lund University, Sweden, and Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany, respectively.
Dr. Haase’s research is centered on how AI and automation influence human creativity, examining both the possibilities for enhancing creative processes and the potential challenges these technologies pose. Her work moves beyond traditional business processes to focus on the broader impact of digital tools and automation on creative knowledge work. She has led key projects exploring the creative potential of AI, AI-human collaboration, and creativity-enhancing strategies, securing substantial research funding in these areas. In addition to her research, Dr. Haase is a lecturer at the Humboldt University and the University of the Arts (UDK), Berlin, where she teaches on the Psychology of Creativity, bringing a psychological perspective to understanding and fostering creativity in digital work environments. She regularly engages in public discussions on how to foster creative skills and the future of creativity in an AI-driven world, having been featured in panel discussions, podcasts, and seminars on AI’s role in creative processes.
